Save $100 on panel upgrades of 200A and above.
Not every panel needs replacing. Sometimes it’s a capacity increase, sometimes a straight swap, and occasionally the panel is fine and the problem is elsewhere. We assess before recommending.
Full replacement where the existing panel is unsafe, obsolete or at capacity.
Increasing your service to carry higher electrical loads.
Replacing fuse boxes with a modern breaker panel.
Adding or replacing breakers, including AFCI and GFCI protection.
We're certified to install Span smart panels.
Assessing an existing panel and correcting what's wrong with it.
If you’re seeing any of these, it’s worth an assessment:
If your panel is warm to the touch or you smell burning near it, cut power and call us immediately.
We’ll tell you honestly which of the two your situation calls for.
Panel work is the job where getting it wrong has the most serious consequences, so licensing and training matter more here than almost anywhere else in the trade. We’re led by a licensed Master Electrician, we’re certified to install Span smart panels, and we price the work upfront so you know the number before anything starts.
A panel upgrade is a big job, and rarely a planned one. Most people discover they need one when something else goes wrong. Flexible financing through Synchrony Bank means an unexpected replacement doesn't have to wait.
Had emergency panel on a Wednesday night at 11:00 pm. Contacted Frain electric. Brendan called me right away. He came next day and explained what was happening and gave me an estimate to replace panel and all breakers. He was very thorough in his explanation. Within 2 hours Adam came and replaced everything in about 4 hours. Adam did a fantastic job and his work was very clean is very nice person. He cleaned up the job site like a real professional. Brendan responded to all my texts and calls in a timely manner and answered all my questions about permits and inspections. I will hire Frain electric in the future. I would recommend them in a heart beat. Glad I found Frain electric in the middle of the next. They are a courteous and friendly and knowledgeable team. Tim Klein
We recently hired Frain Electric to upgrade our electrical service from 100 to 200 amps and run all the wiring for a new bathroom addition. They did an outstanding job from start to finish. The crew was professional, respectful, and incredibly efficient. They worked cleanly, kept the job site neat every day, and finished the work faster than expected without cutting any corners. Everything was done to code, and they even took the time to explain the process and answer all of our questions. Thanks to their excellent work, we now have plenty of power for our growing home and a properly wired bathroom ready for the rest of the build. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-quality electrician, Frain Electric is the way to go. We’ll definitely be calling them again for future projects.
I wanted to add a sub-panel because we needed an EV charger added and some extra outlets in our basement and our panel was full. I saw Brendan's truck at a nearby house doing work and gave him a call. He immediately answered, set up time for a quote the next day, and we had all the work done within a week. He noticed that certain things weren't to code and the panel was aging. Him and his team were able to replace the panel, negating the need for a sub panel, and save us headaches for the next couple of decades. His guys were on time both days they were out and everything was done exactly how I needed it. Fantastic work and we're definitely going to be using him for any extra electrical work we need in the future.
Frain Electric rewired my whole house and made accommodations for 2 new HVAC systems to be installed. They were prompt to get us a new panel and rewire our whole property. They then took care and precision when pulling new wires to our outlets and switches, while minimizing the destruction of our walls. Brendan and team were amazing and appropriately priced. I can’t recommend Frain Electric enough!
I had a major flood at my house that submerged my circuit panel and required 70% of my 17th Century house to be rewired and 2 new HVAC systems to be installed. Frain Electric was prompt to get us a new panel and some emergency power back on. They then took care and precision when pulling new wires to our outlets and switches, while minimizing the destruction of our walls. Thankfully we are back up and running. Brendan and team were amazing and appropriately priced. Some other quotes I received were 200% more expensive. I can’t recommend Frain Electric enough.
The usual signs are breakers that trip regularly, flickering lights, warm or discoloured outlet covers, or a panel with no spare slots left. A fuse box rather than a breaker panel is a clear case for replacement.
Most panel upgrades take the better part of a day, and your power will be off for a good portion of that. We will tell you the day before what to expect so you can plan around it.
Sometimes. If your main panel has capacity but no spare slots, a sub-panel can give you room for new circuits without replacing the main one. If the service itself is undersized, an upgrade is the better answer. We will tell you which situation you are in.
It depends on your current setup and whether the service entrance and meter need replacing alongside the panel. We will give you a firm number after looking at it rather than a guess over the phone. There is currently $100 off panel upgrades of 200A and above.
